Correspondence from Minnie Perryman, a student at Fort Worth University; Lizzie Katz, a relative of Minnie's; W.J. King, a Kappa Sigma fraternity brother at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia; George Parvin, a friend; and a telegram from Sam P. Finly, Sheriff of Eastland, Texas. A Fort Worth University commencement program, 1892, is also included, and a playbill from the Chinese Theatre at the Chicago Columbian Exposition, 1893. The majority of letters were written by Minnie Perryman discussing her life and close relationship with John Terrell in Fort Worth. They discuss their impending separation due to her graduation from Fort Worth University and subsequent move to Puna, Illinois. John was going to school in Virginia. One letter describes in detail Minnie's experiences at the Chicago Colombian Exposition, 1893, and includes a playbill from the Chinese Theatre. Lizzie Katz writes from Illinois that John should move on with his life. Minnie has suffered a nervous breakdown and doesn't love John the way he loves her. Other correspondence concerns John's contemporaries and George Parvin's financial diffculties.
